Architectural Accessibility of the Faculty of Law, University of Białystok

The building can be accessed independently or by public transport. The nearest bus stop is located approximately 50 meters from the building, while other bus stops are situated approximately 600 meters away.

There are three designated parking spaces for persons with reduced mobility or wheelchair users in the internal parking area accessible from Elektryczna Street. Additionally, public on-street parking spaces, including designated accessible parking, are available in the immediate vicinity of the building along Mickiewicza Street.

The building has three entrances: from Mickiewicza Street, from the parking area on Mickiewicza Street, and from Elektryczna Street via the internal parking area. All entrances (swing doors) are accessed via stairs. The main entrance, located on Mickiewicza Street, is not accessible for persons with reduced mobility. The entrance from Elektryczna Street is adapted for wheelchair users and persons with mobility impairments; it features a ramp with handrails.

Assistance is available upon request. Visitors requiring support are kindly asked to notify their arrival by pressing the bell located at the Elektryczna Street entrance. Security staff will provide assistance and facilitate movement within the building.

The building consists of three levels. Behind the main entrance there is a small vestibule, followed by stairs leading to the ground floor, first floor, and second floor. There are no thresholds between levels.

The reception desk is located on the ground floor to the right of the main entrance. An information board with room numbers and floor plans is displayed on the left. The building is equipped with an elevator featuring a handrail and a mirror opposite the entrance; it is well lit. All doors are marked with Braille. There are no high-contrast markings or large-print signage for visually impaired users.

Corridors are sufficiently wide to allow two-way traffic and ensure comfortable movement for individuals with mobility impairments. Seating areas are available along the corridors, and the layout does not impede accessibility.

An accessible restroom is located on the first floor, next to the elevator.

Assistance dogs and guide dogs are permitted in all areas of the building.

The building is equipped with four portable induction loop systems and a tablet providing access to an online sign language interpretation service. Additionally, Polish Sign Language interpretation is available online throughout the building and can be accessed via personal mobile devices.
